St. John’s Wesleyan, Almondbury lost the following fifteen men. Further details of them may be found in “Huddersfield’s Roll of Honour 1914-1922” by J. Margaret Stansfield (Link), with the exception of Harry Barrowclough.
It is clear from Mrs Stansfield’s text that this church did not have a war memorial, and only William Lodge is recorded as having attended this church. The roll of honour here transcribed is their only Wesleyan memorial.
