Frederick Wesley Lewis can be linked to the chapel in that his father Frederick William contributed to the Wesleyan Methodist Historic Roll in 1900. None of the other men can be linked in this way.

2nd Lt. Hubert Arthur and Capt. George Ernest Cornaby were the sons of the Rev. William Arthur Cornaby and his wife Margaret. Their father spent his entire ministry in China, but was originally from Sydenham. George Ernest was born in New Malden, and attended Kingswood School. The brothers had travelled from Shanghai to enlist in 1915.
