Memories of Guernsey

We visited Morley Youth Hostel in Guernsey in 1961, there were 6 of us, three couples all about 18, we were members of Lichfield Road Methodist Church in Birmingham. The other people with us were from another church. A lovely man we all called Pop was in charge, our vicar Colin Rowe accompanied us for one week, and Mr Rimmer from the other church for the other week. We went on a day trip to Herm, travelled all over the Island by bus. We had a great time. Two of our friends got engaged while we were there, they emigrated to Australia just after they got married in 1964. We are still in touch with each other. I have a group photo from 1961, we have happy memories of our time there.
