Pauline Pettit of the Ibstock Historical Society has passed to us these pictures of Harvest Festivals at Heather Methodist church in the 1950s, together with programme fronts from Sunday School anniversaries in the early 1940s. The photos were taken Inside the former Primitive Methodist chapel on Pisca Lane in Heather 1950-55 Harvest Festival.
They were given to the Historical Society by Mr Joseph Reid who gave permission to share them with us.
The chapel has since closed and is now in residential use. It retains its 1903 date tablet.

I used to go to these harvest festivals as a young boy and remember them very well. My grandparents were regular attendees at the chapel and my parents were married there.
