Wimborne Methodist Church was first built on the present site in 1867, then rebuilt in 1966 as it is now. There is a small memorial to the twelve men who died in the first World War, below the memorial window commemorating the 1867 church.

Those killed in WWI were :-

Ernest G Clarke
Percy Cole William
C Cutler

Frederick C Forward
Ethelbert A J Guy
Reginald C Legg

Albert H Maidment
Frank Pavey
Frederick W Shepherd

William A Small
Harry Tee
William G Torvell

There is no second World War memorial, probably because nobody from the church was killed.
