World War I Memorial, Stathern, Leicestershire

This memorial, identical to one in Stathern Parish Church, was removed from the Methodist Chapel when the property was sold. In 2014 it was placed in a newly created garden in front of the village War Memorial Institute, which also has a commemoration to the fallen of both World Wars on its outer wall.

Note:  The list differs from that on the War Memorial Institute wall in that W. Booth is there given as a Private and Lance Corpl Dakin’s initials as J.F.
