FOX, Frank 1878 - 1962

Obituary from the Minutes of the Methodist Conference 1962, page 203

Born in Huddersfield in 1878. He entered the Ministry in 1901, and after a pre-collegiate year at Thorne spent two years at Ranmoor College, Sheffield, beginning his probation in 1904.

He served in Stockport, Halifax, Hurst, Cheslyn Hay, Stockton and Middlesbrough, Hackney. Dewsbury, Ashton-under- Lyne, Accrington, Batley and Doncaster.

After retiring, he served as an active supernumerary at Stainland. The last years of his full retirement were spent in the Huddersfield West Circuit.

He was an easy man to love and had a genius for friendship. He was a welcome preacher wherever he went, and always kept up his studies.

He walked happily with God. All who knew him are glad of their memories.

He died on 20 January 1962, in the eighty-fourth year of his age and the sixtieth of his ministry.
