BRIDGMAN, Thomas Died 1832

Obituary Minutes of Conference 1832

Thomas Bridgman. He was brought to the saving knowledge of God early in life, and entered the itinerant work in the year 1811.

His piety was decided ; his ministerial talents were of a superior kind ; and his success in the employment of them very considerable.

He was exceedingly studious, and deliberate in forming his plans, and adhered very tenaciously to them. What he conceived to be for the glory of God he pursued with ardency and decision.

He died of typhus fever, during the continuance of which he was generally in a state of delirium.

A short time previous to his dissolution, having a lucid interval, he expressed his strong confidence in his Redeemer, and an as sured hope of glory. He died April 21st, 1832.
