A day in the life of

Edwin

I started life in Liverpool and then was put in a children’s home in Frodsham. Unfortunately I cannot find any information about the children’s home. The building was called Erindale and was near the big Frodsham children’s home which there is a great deal of information. I entered the Erindale home on March 11 th 1948 and was taken for adoption by a Methodist couple on 18 th October 1948. It was not a long stay and I was now 2 years and 1 month old. I was old enough to remember an archway, green tiles in a porch and the sun glinting through the trees. The story is too long to pen here, but my early life in the Methodist church taught me a great deal about respect, honesty and love for my fellow man. My greatest learning curve was being a member of the choir and standing next to my Dad listening to a Welsh baritone sing some amazing hymns and tunes. I have to this day gone through a music hobby which has enriched my life beyond imagination, thanks to those early roots in Methodism.
